The 7 Brew Creme Brulee Latte is an espresso-based latte built to taste like the torched sugar crust on top of a classic French custard dessert, combining freshly pulled espresso, steamed or cold milk, caramel syrup, and vanilla syrup into a single caramelized-sugar flavor. Pricing runs $3.00 for a Kids 10oz, $4.50 for a Small 16oz, $5.50 for a Medium 24oz, and $6.50 for a Large 32oz. Caffeine is straightforward espresso math: 60mg in a Kids (1 shot), 120mg in a Small or Medium (2 shots), and 240mg in a Large (4 shots). Calories range from roughly 150 in a Kids Hot up to about 620 in a Large Chiller, with the popular Medium Iced landing near 340.
Unlike the smoothies and shakes at 7 Brew, which are built on a proprietary dairy ice cream mix, the Creme Brulee Latte is a true latte. That means espresso first, then milk, then the flavor pumps - which is why it tastes more like coffee than dessert compared to the Blondie or the Brunette. The "creme brulee" flavor at 7 Brew is not one single syrup in most stores; it is the interplay between the buttery, slightly burnt-sugar note of caramel and the eggy, custardy roundness of vanilla. Layered over espresso and dairy, the two combine into something that genuinely reads as torched sugar rather than plain caramel.
What makes this drink worth ordering at a drive-thru-only chain from Rogers, Arkansas is flexibility. You can get it Hot (steamed milk, thin microfoam cap), Iced (cold milk over ice, the most-ordered version), or as a Chiller (blended, milkshake-thick, the sweetest and highest-calorie build). Every element is adjustable - half-sweet, sugar-free vanilla, oat milk, extra shot, extra caramel drizzle. The Creme Brulee Latte is the drink to order when you want dessert flavor without giving up the espresso.

What Does the 7 Brew Crème Brûlée Latte Taste Like?
The first thing you get is aroma, especially on the Hot version - warm vanilla custard with a faint scorched-sugar edge that hits before the cup reaches your mouth. The opening sip is soft and rounded, dominated by vanilla and milk, with the caramel arriving about a half second later as a buttery, almost brown-butter sweetness rather than a sharp candy note. It reads as caramelized sugar, not caramel candy, and that distinction is the whole point of the drink.
Mid-sip is where the espresso shows up. 7 Brew pulls a medium-dark, chocolate-forward shot, so you get a cocoa bitterness that cuts through the sugar and keeps the drink from going cloying. On a Medium with 2 shots the coffee sits just underneath the sweetness. On a Large with 4 shots the balance flips and the espresso becomes the lead voice, with the creme brulee flavor riding behind it.
Texture depends heavily on your build. Hot is silky with a thin layer of microfoam that carries the vanilla aroma. Iced is thinner and cleaner, more refreshing, and the caramel note sharpens as the ice dilutes the milk fat. The Chiller is the dessert version - thick, cold, frosty, closer to a coffee milkshake, and noticeably sweeter because blending mutes bitterness.
The finish is the best part: a lingering toasted-sugar aftertaste with a faint dairy sweetness, similar to the last spoonful of flan. There is no artificial burnt aftertaste if you keep it at standard sweetness.

How to Order the Crème Brûlée Latte for the First Time
Order a Medium Iced Creme Brulee Latte, half-sweet, with an extra shot. That is the build most regulars land on after a few visits. The Medium is 24oz for $5.50, gives you 2 standard shots (3 with the add-on for 180mg), and half-sweet keeps the caramelized flavor while dropping roughly 15-22g of sugar.
If you are coming from Starbucks and normally order a Caramel Macchiato or a Vanilla Latte, order the Creme Brulee Latte at standard sweetness the first time so you have a fair baseline - 7 Brew syrup levels are generous but not extreme in a latte.
If you have a big sweet tooth or you are ordering for someone who does not really like coffee, get the Chiller. Blended, whipped, and drizzled, it functions as a dessert and hides the espresso almost completely.
If you are sensitive to sweetness, do not start with the Large. Four shots plus four syrup pumps in 32oz is a lot of drink. Start Small at $4.50 and scale up.
One thing worth knowing: this is a latte, not a shake. If you were expecting the thick ice-cream-mix texture of a 7 Brew shake or smoothie, order the Chiller version or you will be surprised by how coffee-forward it is.

Starbucks & Dutch Bros Equivalent
How to get a drink similar to the Crème Brûlée Latte at other coffee chains
From November through early January order a Grande Caramel Brulee Latte, iced or hot. Outside the holiday window that syrup is gone, so order a Grande Iced Latte with 2 pumps caramel syrup, 2 pumps vanilla syrup, and ask for caramel drizzle in the cup.
7 Brew uses a breve (half-and-half) base while Starbucks uses 2% milk by default. 7 Brew is typically creamier and sweeter.
Dutch Bros does not have a named creme brulee latte. Order a Large Iced Latte with caramel and vanilla and ask for the caramel drizzle. If your location stocks their caramel sauce rather than syrup, request that instead for a closer burnt-sugar note.
Dutch Bros tends to run slightly sweeter. Both are drive-thru only chains with a similar vibe.
7 Brew Large (32oz): $6.50 vs Starbucks Venti (24oz): approximately $6.45. That is $0.203 per ounce at 7 Brew versus $0.269 per ounce at Starbucks - you get 8 more ounces for 5 cents more. Even the 7 Brew Medium (24oz, $5.50) undercuts a same-size Venti by roughly a dollar.
The Creme Brulee Latte is a morning-to-early-afternoon drink. A Small or Medium at 120mg of caffeine is a normal single-cup dose, so anytime before about 2pm is safe for most people if you want to sleep normally. The Large at 240mg is a genuine four-shot drink and is better treated as an 8am or a pre-shift order, not a 4pm pick-me-up. Seasonally, the Hot version shines from October through February - the toasted sugar and custard notes read as holiday flavors and it pairs naturally with cold weather. The Iced version works year-round and is the version most regulars default to. Save the Chiller for a hot afternoon when you want dessert instead of coffee; at roughly 620 calories for a Large it functions more like a milkshake with caffeine than a daily latte.

How to Make the Crème Brûlée Latte at Home
- 2 shots espresso (about 2 oz), or 1/3 cup strong moka pot or Aeropress coffee
- 1 tbsp Monin Creme Brulee syrup (0.5 oz)
- 2 tsp Torani Caramel syrup (about 0.33 oz)
- 1 tsp Torani Vanilla syrup
- 10 oz whole milk, or oat milk such as Oatly Barista Edition for a dairy-free version
- 1 cup ice for the iced version
- Optional: 2 tsp Ghirardelli Caramel Flavored Sauce for drizzle
- Optional: 1 tbsp granulated sugar for a real torched sugar garnish
Pull 2 shots of espresso directly into a heatproof measuring cup. If you do not have an espresso machine, brew 1/3 cup of very concentrated coffee using twice your normal grounds.
While the espresso is still hot, stir in the Monin Creme Brulee syrup, Torani Caramel, and Torani Vanilla. Adding syrup to hot espresso dissolves it fully and prevents sweet sludge at the bottom of the glass.
For the iced version, swirl Ghirardelli caramel sauce around the inside of a 16oz glass, then fill with ice and pour in the milk.
Pour the sweetened espresso over the milk so it cascades through the ice, then stir once from the bottom.
For the hot version, steam or microwave the milk to about 150F, froth it with a handheld frother for 20 seconds, and pour it into the espresso mixture. Hold back the foam, pour the liquid, then spoon the foam on top.
Optional pro move for the real brulee effect: sprinkle 1 tbsp granulated sugar on a small metal spoon or heatproof saucer, torch it with a kitchen torch until amber, let it harden for 60 seconds, then crack it and float the shards on top of the foam.
Use sugar-free syrups and skip whipped cream to save 100-150 calories.
