About This Drink
Guava Mango Smoothie

The 7 Brew Guava Mango Smoothie is a caffeine-free blended tropical drink made with guava flavor syrup, mango puree, and 7 Brew proprietary ice cream mix, ranging from 200 calories in the 10oz Kids size to 700 calories in the 32oz Large. Pricing runs $3.75 for Kids, $5.25 Small, $6.25 Medium, and $7.25 Large. Every size contains 0mg of caffeine, which makes it one of the few items on the board that a parent can hand to a kid in the back seat without a second thought.

Here is the part most people get wrong: 7 Brew smoothies are not juice-bar smoothies. This drive-thru-only chain out of Rogers, Arkansas builds its blended fruit drinks on a dairy-based ice cream mix - a thick, lightly sweetened vanilla cream base - rather than yogurt, juice, or fresh whole fruit. The guava comes from a flavor syrup and the mango arrives as a thick fruit puree, and the two get blended with ice and that cream base until the whole thing turns a soft coral-orange. That formulation is exactly why Milk shows up as an allergen on all four sizes, and why the mouthfeel lands closer to a tropical milkshake than a green-juice-shop smoothie.

What makes the Guava Mango stand out among 7 Brew fruit blends is the pairing itself. Mango alone can go flat and one-note once it hits dairy - it turns into a creamsicle. Guava brings a floral, slightly tart, almost pear-and-strawberry-adjacent edge that keeps the mango from collapsing into pure sugar. It is the same reason guava-mango juice blends dominate Latin and Caribbean beverage aisles. Order it Medium if you want the full effect, or Small if you are watching the 61g of sugar rather than 97g.

Information for Guava Mango Smoothie

Caffeine-Free
Confirmed 0mg in all four sizes. No espresso, no tea, no coffee contact in the blender pitcher.
Contains Milk
The ice cream mix is dairy-based. This is the only listed allergen and it applies to every size.
Vegetarian
Suitable as-is for lacto-vegetarians. No gelatin or animal-derived thickeners in the standard build.
Not Vegan (Modifiable)
Ask for almond or oat milk in place of the ice cream mix and skip whipped cream. The result is a fruit slush rather than a creamy smoothie, but it is dairy-free.
Not Keto-Friendly
Even a Kids size carries 45g of carbs. Sugar-free guava syrup helps but the mango puree contains natural and added sugar that cannot be removed.
Nut-Free (Standard Build)
No nut ingredients in the default recipe. If you substitute almond milk you obviously introduce tree nuts - specify oat milk if avoiding nuts.
Kid-Safe
Zero caffeine makes the 10oz Kids size at 200 calories a legitimate option for children under 12.
High Sugar
A Large delivers 132g of sugar - more than double the American Heart Association daily added-sugar ceiling for adults. Treat it as dessert, not hydration.

TASTE

What Does the 7 Brew Guava Mango Smoothie Taste Like?

The aroma hits before the first sip - warm, perfumey guava with a ripe mango sweetness underneath, closer to a tropical candle than a fruit cup. It smells sweeter than it tastes, which is a good sign.

The first sip is mango-forward and immediately creamy. The ice cream mix rounds every edge, so instead of the sharp, bright mango you get from frozen fruit, you get something softer - think mango sorbet folded into vanilla soft-serve. There is no icy grit if it has been blended properly, just a thick, spoonable texture that pulls slowly through a wide straw.

Mid-sip is where the guava takes over. It comes in floral and slightly tart, with that distinctive guava tang that reads a little like strawberry and a little like ripe pear. This is the layer that keeps the drink from being just a mango milkshake, and it is also the layer that fades if you order it half-sweet with too much ice.

The finish is where the sugar shows itself. A Medium carries 97g of sugar, and by the last third of a 24oz cup the sweetness starts stacking, leaving a faintly syrupy coating on the tongue. The vanilla from the ice cream mix lingers longest, tailing off into something like a tropical creamsicle. Cold, thick, and unapologetically dessert-leaning - this is a treat drink, not a refresher.

INGREDIENTS

What's Actually in the 7 Brew Guava Mango Smoothie?

Guava Syrup Sweetened flavor syrup delivering the floral, slightly tart tropical top note - typically 2 pumps Small, 3 Medium, 4 Large
Mango Puree Thick sweetened fruit puree, not fresh-cut fruit - this is what gives the drink its body and coral-orange color
Ice Cream Mix The proprietary dairy base 7 Brew uses in all smoothies and shakes - a heavy vanilla cream that makes the drink creamy rather than icy. Source of the Milk allergen
Ice Blended in to set the frozen texture and dilute the syrup concentration - ask for less ice if you want a thicker, more intense pour
Whipped Cream Optional dairy topping added by default at some locations - adds roughly 50-80 calories and 1-2g sugar

Ingredients may vary by location. Always confirm with your barista.

First Time?

How to Order the Guava Mango Smoothie for the First Time

If this is your first Guava Mango Smoothie, order a Small (16oz, $5.25, 330 calories) rather than jumping to a Medium. Blended dairy fruit drinks are deceptively filling, and 16 ounces of ice cream mix and mango puree is plenty to decide whether you like the flavor profile.

Order it exactly as-is the first time. Do not half-sweet it, do not swap the milk. You need the baseline to know what you are adjusting from, and half-sweeting a guava drink on the first try often mutes the floral note that makes this one worth ordering.

Two things to know going in. First, this will taste creamier and more dessert-like than you expect from anything labeled smoothie - if you are picturing a Jamba Juice-style fruit-and-ice blend, recalibrate toward a tropical milkshake. Second, ask for a wide straw at the window. The standard build is thick enough that a regular straw fights you for the first ten minutes.

Drink it within about twenty minutes. Like every blended drink built on a cream base, it separates as it melts, and the bottom third of a warmed cup turns into sweet guava-mango milk. Still drinkable, but the texture is the whole point.

If you love it and want to go bigger next time, the Medium at $6.25 is the value sweet spot - you get 8 more ounces for a dollar. Just know you are also getting 180 more calories and 36 more grams of sugar.

Pro tip: Don't be afraid to ask your brewista for recommendations — they love helping first-timers!

Best Time to Enjoy

Mid-afternoon, roughly 2pm to 5pm, is the natural home for this drink. It is caffeine-free, so it will not touch your sleep, and the sugar load functions as an afternoon pick-me-up without the crash-and-jitter cycle of an energy drink. Hot summer months are its peak season - the frozen texture and tropical flavor do not make a lot of sense on a 30-degree January morning. It works surprisingly well as a dessert replacement after a light dinner. A Small at 330 calories is comparable to a scoop-and-a-half of ice cream, and the guava keeps it from feeling as heavy as a chocolate shake.

I have worked my way through basically every smoothie on the 7 Brew board and the Guava Mango is the one I keep coming back to. The guava is what does it - it has that floral tartness that cuts through all the cream, so it never turns into a boring mango milkshake. I get a Medium half-sweet every Friday afternoon and it is still plenty sweet at that. Texture is perfect if you get it fresh, thick enough that the straw stands up in it for the first few minutes.

Really good tropical flavor and my kids fight over the Kids size, which is nice since it is caffeine-free. My only complaint is consistency between locations. One store blends it thick and creamy, another one down the highway gave me something closer to a slushie with ice chunks. Same drink, totally different experience. When it is made right it is a five, when it is not it is a three. Also 97 grams of sugar in a Medium caught me off guard, so I size down to a Small now.

This is fine but I think I expected something different. I grew up drinking actual guava nectar and this reads much more like guava-flavored ice cream than fruit. The ice cream mix dominates by about the halfway point and the last few sips were honestly too sweet for me. I tried it with oat milk instead and it fixed the heaviness but then it was thin and icy. I think I just want a real fruit smoothie and this is a dessert drink wearing a smoothie name tag. Not bad, just not what I go to 7 Brew for.

Copycat Recipe

How to Make the Guava Mango Smoothie at Home

5 minutes
Ingredients
  • 3/4 cup frozen mango chunks (or 1/3 cup Goya mango puree, thawed)
  • 1.5 tablespoons Torani Guava Syrup (Monin Guava works equally well and is slightly more floral)
  • 1/2 cup vanilla ice cream, softened - this stands in for the 7 Brew ice cream mix
  • 1/4 cup whole milk or half-and-half
  • 3/4 cup ice cubes
  • Optional: 1 teaspoon fresh lime juice to sharpen the guava
  • Optional: whipped cream to top
Instructions
1

Add the milk and guava syrup to the blender first so the blades have liquid to grab.

2

Add the softened vanilla ice cream, then the mango, then the ice on top. Layering in this order prevents air pockets.

3

Blend on high for 30-40 seconds until completely smooth with no visible ice chips. Stop and scrape down the sides once if needed.

4

Check the consistency. It should be thick enough to hold a straw upright for a few seconds. Add 2-3 more ice cubes if thin, or a splash of milk if it is too stiff to pour.

5

Add the lime juice if using and pulse twice - this is the trick that makes homemade versions taste closer to the guava tang in the original.

6

Pour into a 16oz cup, top with whipped cream if desired, and serve immediately with a wide straw.

Lighter Version

Use sugar-free syrups and skip whipped cream to save 100-150 calories.

FAQ

Common Questions

How many calories are in a 7 Brew Guava Mango Smoothie?
The 7 Brew Guava Mango Smoothie contains 200 calories in the 10oz Kids size, 330 calories in the 16oz Small, 510 calories in the 24oz Medium, and 700 calories in the 32oz Large. The majority of those calories come from the dairy ice cream mix base and the combined sugar in the guava syrup and mango puree - fat stays low across the board at just 2-6g. To reduce calories, order it half-sweet to cut roughly 90-100 calories on a Medium, skip whipped cream for another 50-80, or substitute almond or oat milk for the ice cream mix to bring a Medium down to approximately 330-360 calories.
Does the 7 Brew Guava Mango Smoothie have caffeine?
No. The 7 Brew Guava Mango Smoothie is completely caffeine-free with 0mg in all four sizes - Kids, Small, Medium, and Large. It is built from guava flavor syrup, mango puree, ice cream mix, and ice, with no espresso, coffee, tea, or energy blend involved. This makes it one of the safest picks on the 7 Brew menu for children, pregnant customers, and anyone ordering late in the evening who does not want caffeine interfering with sleep.
Is the 7 Brew Guava Mango Smoothie made with real fruit?
Partially. The mango component is a sweetened fruit puree, which is real fruit that has been processed and sweetened, but the guava component is a flavor syrup rather than fruit. Neither is fresh-cut whole fruit, and 7 Brew does not blend fresh fruit to order. The base is also not juice or yogurt - it is a proprietary dairy ice cream mix, which is why Milk is listed as an allergen on every size and why the texture lands closer to a tropical milkshake than a juice-bar smoothie.
Can you get the 7 Brew Guava Mango Smoothie dairy-free?
Yes, with a modification. Ask the crew to substitute almond milk or oat milk in place of the ice cream mix and skip the whipped cream. This removes the Milk allergen and drops a Medium from 510 calories to roughly 330-360. Be aware that the texture changes significantly - without the ice cream mix the drink blends thin and icy, more like a fruit slush than a creamy smoothie. Requesting extra mango puree helps rebuild some of the body. Also note that cross-contact is possible since the same blender pitchers are used for dairy drinks.
How much sugar is in a 7 Brew Guava Mango Smoothie?
Sugar content is 38g in the Kids size, 61g in the Small, 97g in the Medium, and 132g in the Large. For context, the American Heart Association recommends no more than 36g of added sugar per day for men and 25g for women, so even a Kids size exceeds the daily guideline for an adult woman. Ordering half-sweet cuts roughly 20-25g on a Medium by reducing guava syrup pumps, and sugar-free guava syrup is available at most locations - though the mango puree still contributes natural and added sugar that cannot be removed.
