About This Drink
Heatwave Lemonade

The 7 Brew Heatwave Lemonade is a caffeine-free iced lemonade built on the house fresh lemonade base and flavored with pineapple and mango syrups, ranging from 110 calories in the 10oz Kids size to 390 calories in the 32oz Large, with 0mg of caffeine in every size. It is one of the tropical entries in the 7 Brew lemonade lineup, and it sits at the sweeter, juicier end of the spectrum rather than the tart, pucker-forward end.

7 Brew started as a two-lane drive-thru in Rogers, Arkansas, and the entire menu was designed around speed, so the lemonades are intentionally simple to assemble: tart lemonade base, pumps of flavor syrup scaled to cup size, then poured straight over ice. There is no blending, no dairy, and no fruit puree involved, which is the key structural difference between a 7 Brew lemonade and a 7 Brew smoothie. Smoothies get the proprietary ice cream mix and turn creamy; the Heatwave stays thin, clear-bodied, and refreshing all the way to the bottom of the cup.

What makes the Heatwave distinct from the other tropical options is the pairing itself. Pineapple brings the sharp, sunny acidity that plays directly into the lemon, while mango contributes a rounder, softer, almost nectar-like sweetness that keeps the drink from tasting like straight citrus. Together they read as a tropical punch rather than a single-fruit lemonade, which is exactly why the drink appears so often in summer TikTok orders and in road-trip cup holders. Because it is completely caffeine-free, it is also one of the few 7 Brew drinks parents can hand to a kid without a second thought, and it is the go-to for anyone who wants the 7 Brew drive-thru experience at 8pm without wrecking their sleep.

Information for Heatwave Lemonade

Caffeine-Free
Confirmed 0mg in all four sizes, including the Large. Safe for kids, pregnancy, and late-night ordering.
Dairy-Free
No milk, half-and-half, or ice cream mix is used - unlike 7 Brew smoothies and shakes, which all contain the dairy-based ice cream mix.
Vegan-Friendly
Lemonade base plus fruit syrups contains no animal products. No substitutions needed - just order it as-is with no whipped topping.
Nut-Free
No nut ingredients in the drink itself. Cross-contact is possible at a busy drive-thru where hazelnut and almond syrups are used, so mention a severe allergy at the window.
Gluten-Free Ingredients
No gluten-containing ingredients. Not certified gluten-free, and shared equipment means it is not appropriate for celiac diagnosis without asking staff.
Fat-Free
0g fat and 0g saturated fat in every size, which is unusual on the 7 Brew menu where most drinks are dairy-heavy.
Not Keto-Friendly
A Medium carries 71g carbs and a Large 98g carbs. Even with sugar-free syrups the sweetened lemonade base keeps this out of keto range - order a 7 Fizz style sparkling version instead.
High Sugar - Diabetes Caution
A Large contains 96g of sugar with no fat, fiber, or protein to slow absorption. If blood sugar is a concern, choose the Kids size at 26g or ask for sugar-free syrups plus extra ice.

TASTE

What Does the 7 Brew Heatwave Lemonade Taste Like?

The first thing you notice is aroma, not flavor - lift the lid and you get a bright hit of canned pineapple juice with a warm mango edge sitting behind it. The first sip leads with lemon. It is genuinely tart for about a half second, sharp enough to make your jaw tighten slightly, and then the pineapple syrup arrives and turns that tartness into something closer to tropical punch.

Mid-sip is where the mango does its work. It rounds off the acidic corners with a soft, syrupy sweetness that coats the tongue - think mango nectar rather than fresh mango, since this is syrup-driven rather than fruit-driven. There is no pulp, no fiber, no cloudiness. The body is thin and water-clear in texture, closer to a snow cone flavor dissolved in lemonade than to a juice-bar drink.

The finish is the sweetest part of the experience. Lemon acid fades first, leaving pineapple candy sweetness on the front of the tongue and a lingering mango note along the sides. At full sweetness a Large finishes noticeably sugary, and by the last quarter of the cup the ice has melted enough to thin it out, which most people actually prefer. Served very cold with plenty of ice, it drinks fast and dangerously easy on a hot day - the reason regulars call it a summer drink even though it is available year round.

INGREDIENTS

What's Actually in the 7 Brew Heatwave Lemonade?

Fresh Lemonade Base The house lemonade poured at every 7 Brew stand - already sweetened and tart, and the source of most of the carbs in the drink
Pineapple Syrup Sharp, high-acid tropical flavoring that reinforces the citrus and provides the punch-like top note - roughly 2 pumps in a Small, 4 in a Large
Mango Syrup Rounder, nectar-style sweetener that softens the lemon acid and gives the drink its warm tropical body - scaled with cup size alongside the pineapple
Ice Filled to the top before pouring, which chills the drink instantly and dilutes it slightly as it melts
Optional Add-Ins Regulars frequently request strawberry, peach, or coconut syrup as a fourth flavor, or Red Bull swapped in for the sparkling option

Ingredients may vary by location. Always confirm with your barista.

First Time?

How to Order the Heatwave Lemonade for the First Time

If this is your first Heatwave, order a Small at half sweetness. A Small is 180 calories and 43g of sugar at full strength, so half-sweet puts you around 130 calories with the tartness fully intact - it is the version that tastes most like actual pineapple and mango rather than tropical candy. If you already know you like sweet drinks such as snow cones, Sonic slushes, or a Starbucks Refresher, go full sweet and get a Medium.

Ask for extra ice regardless of size. The Heatwave is best when it is painfully cold, and the melt actually improves the balance as you drink. Skip a straw upgrade decision by just drinking it fast - there is no dairy or foam to separate.

One expectation to set: this is not a fresh-fruit juice drink. There is no pulp and no blended texture. It is a flavored lemonade, thin and pourable, and if you were hoping for a thick tropical smoothie you want the smoothie side of the menu instead. Finally, remember it is 0mg caffeine, so it is the drink to order on a late-night run or for a passenger who does not drink coffee.

Pro tip: Don't be afraid to ask your brewista for recommendations — they love helping first-timers!

How to get a drink similar to the Heatwave Lemonade at other coffee chains

Similar flavored espresso drink
How to Order

Ask for a Venti Mango Dragonfruit Refresher made with lemonade instead of water, no inclusions if you do not want the freeze-dried dragonfruit pieces. Add one pump of vanilla if you want it closer to the mango-forward Heatwave finish. Starbucks has no pineapple flavor option, so this is a similar tropical-lemonade lane rather than a true match.

Key Difference

7 Brew uses a breve (half-and-half) base while Starbucks uses 2% milk by default. 7 Brew is typically creamier and sweeter.

Similar flavored drink
How to Order

Dutch Bros does not have a named pineapple-mango lemonade, so build it: order a Large lemonade and ask for 3 pumps of pineapple and 2 pumps of mango, no Red Bull. If you want the Dutch Bros twist, ask for it as a Rebel-based tropical drink instead, though that adds caffeine.

Key Difference

Dutch Bros tends to run slightly sweeter. Both are drive-thru only chains with a similar vibe.

7 Brew Large (32oz): $5.50 works out to about $0.17 per ounce. A Starbucks Venti Refresher with lemonade (24oz) runs roughly $6.25, or about $0.26 per ounce. You get 8 more ounces for about $0.75 less at 7 Brew - a genuine 35 percent better value per ounce.

Best Time to Enjoy

Peak Heatwave conditions are a hot afternoon between roughly 1pm and 6pm, when you want something cold and sharp rather than creamy. Because it contains zero caffeine, it is also the correct 7 Brew order after 6pm - you can drink a full Large at 9pm and it will not touch your sleep, which is not true of the cold brews at 156-335mg. It is a strong pairing with salty food: barbecue, tacos, pizza, ballpark food, anything where the lemon acid cuts grease. Avoid it as a breakfast drink if you need a lift, since 390 calories of almost pure sugar in a Large with no caffeine and no protein can leave you dragging by mid-morning. It is also the drink to order on a hot workout day when a milkshake sounds heavy - just be honest with yourself that a Large carries 96g of sugar, well past the American Heart Association daily added-sugar guidance of 25g for women and 36g for men.

This is my entire summer in a cup. I get a Large half-sweet with extra ice and it tastes like pineapple juice and lemonade got married. The mango keeps it from being too sharp and it is the only thing that gets me through soccer practice in August heat. Bonus that it is zero caffeine so I can order it at 8pm on the way home from games without laying awake all night. I have gotten three of my coworkers hooked.

Really good tropical lemonade and I appreciate that it is not a dairy drink like half the 7 Brew menu. One warning though - full sweet in a Large is a lot. I looked it up and it is 390 calories and 96 grams of sugar, which is basically three sodas. Half-sweet fixed it completely and honestly tastes better because you can actually taste the lemon. Would be five stars if the default sweetness was dialed back a notch.

It is fine, just not what I expected. I was hoping for something closer to a real fruit drink and this is syrup-based, so it reads more like a snow cone flavor in lemonade than fresh pineapple and mango. No pulp, no texture, thins out fast once the ice melts. If you like sweet tropical stuff you will love it. I ended up switching to the tea side of the menu, though I will say my kids drank theirs in about four minutes flat.

How to Make the Heatwave Lemonade at Home

5 minutes
Ingredients
  • 10 oz cold fresh lemonade (Simply Lemonade or 1/4 cup fresh lemon juice plus 3 tbsp simple syrup plus 7 oz cold water)
  • 1 oz (2 tbsp) Torani Pineapple Syrup
  • 0.75 oz (1.5 tbsp) Torani Mango Syrup - Monin Mango Puree Syrup also works and gives a rounder result
  • 2 cups ice cubes
  • Optional: 0.25 oz Monin Coconut Syrup for a pina colada twist
  • Optional garnish: pineapple wedge and a lemon wheel
Instructions
1

Fill a 24oz cup or shaker completely with ice - about 2 cups. The drink must be aggressively cold, so do not skimp.

2

Pour the pineapple syrup and mango syrup directly over the ice so they sit at the bottom.

3

Add the cold lemonade and stir hard for 15 seconds, or cap a shaker and shake 8-10 times until the outside frosts. Shaking is what makes it taste like the drive-thru version.

4

Taste before serving. If it reads too sweet, add 1 tbsp fresh lemon juice; if too tart, add 1 tsp more mango syrup.

5

For a sugar-free version use Torani Sugar Free Pineapple and Mango syrups with unsweetened lemon water sweetened by 2 packets of monk fruit - this lands near 15 calories instead of 280.

Lighter Version

Use sugar-free syrups and skip whipped cream to save 100-150 calories.

FAQ

Common Questions

How many calories are in a 7 Brew Heatwave Lemonade?
A 7 Brew Heatwave Lemonade ranges from 110 calories in the 10oz Kids size to 390 calories in the 32oz Large. The 16oz Small is 180 calories and the popular 24oz Medium is 280 calories. Essentially all of those calories come from sugar - 26g in the Kids, 43g in the Small, 69g in the Medium, and 96g in the Large - since the drink has 0g fat and 0g protein. The sweetened lemonade base plus the pineapple and mango syrups are the only calorie sources. Ordering it half-sweet cuts a Large to roughly 250 calories and 60g of sugar, and asking for sugar-free syrups can trim about 20g more from a Medium.
Does the 7 Brew Heatwave Lemonade have caffeine?
No. The Heatwave Lemonade contains 0mg of caffeine in every size, including the 32oz Large. All 7 Brew lemonades are caffeine-free because they are built from the fresh lemonade base and fruit syrups with no coffee, tea, or energy blend involved. That makes it a safe evening order and a good pick for kids, pregnancy, or anyone sensitive to stimulants. For comparison, a 7 Brew cold brew can run 156-335mg of caffeine and a 7 Energy drink 150-300mg, so switching to a Heatwave is a genuine zero-caffeine option rather than a low-caffeine one. If you want caffeine in it, some locations will build a similar tropical drink over Red Bull instead of lemonade.
What flavors are in the 7 Brew Heatwave Lemonade?
The Heatwave Lemonade is pineapple plus mango over the house fresh lemonade base, served iced. Pineapple provides the sharp, high-acid tropical top note that plays into the lemon, while mango adds a softer nectar-like sweetness that rounds out the tartness. Both flavors come from syrups rather than fruit puree, so there is no pulp and no blended texture - it pours thin and clear like a flavored lemonade, not like a smoothie. The most popular fan modification is adding one pump of coconut syrup, which pushes the drink toward a pina colada profile for about 20-25 extra calories.
Is the 7 Brew Heatwave Lemonade dairy-free and vegan?
Yes. The Heatwave Lemonade is dairy-free and vegan as ordered, with no listed allergens in any size. This is a meaningful distinction on the 7 Brew menu, because all 7 Brew smoothies and shakes are made with a dairy-based ice cream mix and therefore list Milk as an allergen. The lemonades skip that mix entirely - they are lemonade base, fruit syrups, and ice. Just order it plain with no whipped topping. If you have a severe nut allergy, mention it at the window, since the same syrup station handles hazelnut and almond flavors and cross-contact is possible in a fast drive-thru environment.
Is the Heatwave Lemonade too sweet, and how do I order it less sweet?
Full sweetness is noticeably sugary, especially in the larger sizes - a Large delivers 96g of sugar, which is close to three cans of soda and nearly four times the American Heart Association daily added-sugar guidance of 25g for women. The standard fix is asking for it half-sweet, which halves the flavor syrups and drops a Large to roughly 250 calories and 60g of sugar while letting the real lemon tartness come through. Other effective moves: request sugar-free pineapple or mango syrup, ask for extra ice so the melt dilutes it as you drink, or simply size down to a Small at 180 calories and 43g of sugar. Keep in mind the lemonade base itself is pre-sweetened, so you cannot get this drink to zero sugar without swapping to sparkling water 7 Fizz style.
